The Dartmouth Steam Railway has made a success with their Train of Lights presentation back in 2018. The event has enjoyed massive recognition by the people which has prompted the company to add new services to meet the demand.
Due to that, the Train of Lights is now widely anticipated by people in the South West festive calendar. This simply goes without saying that this year 2019 will definitely see it get bigger and even better.
While it still features the same magic that the 2018 event offered, it will also display a unique experience this year with new installations that will blow everyone away. Keep in mind, however, that this show can only be viewed while riding on the train from Paignton to Kingswear.
All train carriages alongside a steam locomotive will be adorned with more than 100,000 lights. There will also be a number of lineside displays through an ancient oak forest. This once-a-year event has been the result of 12 months of continuous planning as well as the integration of breath-taking scenery, beautiful forests, and lighting stations. Viewers can also enjoy magical surprises along the route.
John Jones, the event’s Managing Director, stated that the Train of Lights will be a yearly event following the massive success during its launching. They even committed a huge budget for this year’s event by investing in resources that will help enhance the displays. He hopes that everyone will take part in the event as they go on a magical and out of the ordinary experience.
The Train of Lights event will start on November 29 and run on selected dates throughout December. For more details, you can contact them on 01803 555872 or check their website at www.dsrrbchristmas.co.uk.
Note: Some of the trains were already sold out. However, you can still find extra tickets and trains this year.
