Himalayan Spice is one of the ten restaurants coming from the South West who made it to the finals of the well-known Curry Awards 2019 in London.
It is the only restaurant from Cornwall to reach the final stage of the contest.
This Indian restaurant is located at 4 Castle Street, Liskeard PL14 3AU, United Kingdom. It vied for the Restaurant of the Year Award but was up for a tight competition.
Himalayan Spice might not be one of the official victors of the event, but the people were very proud of this achievement. The neighbourhood of Liskeard and the South West will forever be grateful for this memory.
Other participants who represented the South West include The Jewel in the Crown, Ruchi Indian Restaurant, Gikki, Namaste, Joy Raj, Spice Lodge, Eastern Eye, etc.
The official winners were proclaimed on 19th of August 2019. It was done in a lavish black-tie ceremony at a Holiday Inn branch in the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre.
Aside from the Restaurant of the Year, other recognitions offered at this annual awarding ceremony were the Most Wanted Restaurant, Best Takeaway, Best Takeaway, and Home Delivery, Best Chef, and Best Caterer.

- Chef of the Year: The Original Third Eye (Manchester)
- Caterer of the Year: Anu Caterers (Basingstoke)
Everyone truly had a remarkable and worthwhile experience. The contestants have not only surpassed the challenges, but they have grown and learned from them. They have also made friends in the process.
Indeed, the curry industry embodies not just the food but it also honours history, novelty, and community.
