Just a few hours ago, the Gove Group Real Estate, in partnership with Exeter Station Properties, announced the nearing launch of their luxury condo project located at 102 Front St. According to them, this new project serves to honour its historic past while striving to provide its tenants with all the modern amenities they need.

The main building, which is composed of three units, features hardwood flooring, granite countertops, central AC system, off-street parking, and private decks. The project has been made possible thanks to the efforts of architect Winter Holben who, in the past 15 months, strived hard to breathe new life to such a historic house.

Renee Carman of Mandeville Canyon Designs mentioned that such instances of a stager reaching out and receiving local support to ensure that a property can have a personal connection to its surrounding area is uncommon. She will be the one to stage the property for public and broker viewing.

According to the developers, the most important part of the project is to preserve the rich history that surrounds the property as it was transformed into a luxury project. The property, which was built around 1980, was purchased by Mira and George Richards who was known for his work as a correspondent for the Boston Herald, Exeter News-Letter, and Manchester Union.

After his passing, his wife Mira carried on his work with her own weekly column known as the Washington Letter. She received significant respect and was hailed the only woman who has been admitted to the capitol press gallery located in Washington, D.C.

With George’s death, she decided to sell the property to politician Harry Merrill who then left it to Sydney Merrill. Sydney, along with his wife Patricia, spent several years in the property before deciding to sell it back in 1976.

The Gove Group is yet to announce the dates for the viewing which is speculated to take in place in the next few weeks.
