During their 2020 tour, the Hairy Bikers will be visiting Torquay next October. The duo is set for a night of both conversation and cooking at the Princess Theatre.
Dave Myers and Si King, the down-to-earth, big-hearted cooks that absolutely love good food, will grace the Princess Theatre during their thirty-eight date tour of Ireland and the United Kingdom. The two met on a TV drama set in 1995 and bonded instantly.
They’ve both been riding and cooking ever since then. They’ve also written over twenty cookbooks which include the Mediterranean Adventure, Bakeation, 12 Days of Christmas, Meat Feasts, and British Classics.
A spokesman of theirs stated that their TV shows have been entertaining British audiences for over ten years now and that they’ve managed to sell more than 5.7 million book copies during this time. He went on further to say how they fully understand how important home cooking and great food is to every household.
The duo’s unique blend of motorbike enthusiasm, humour, and foodie expertise has earned the outfit both a loyal and huge following. They are BBC regulars with a plethora of Prime-Time TV successes in the bag.
Dave called Barrow-in-Furness home when he was growing up and as a student worked in steelworks. He did this to pay for his fine arts education. Later on, he became a makeup artist for the BBC and specialised in prosthetics. Si, on the other hand, called North East England home for many years. He has worked as a locations manager and assistant director for television and film which includes the Harry Potter series film.
The duo made it clear to the public that they can’t wait for their 2020 tour. No night is ever the same with them because of how much of a huge part their audiences usually play.
