There will be an invasion of the 80’s music in North Somerset as several popular pop stars will be having a series of intimate shows which will be held at a North Somerset Venue in the next few months.
Paul Young and Kiki Dee are slated to hold separate concerts at Somerset Hall in Portishead this year and in 2020. The profits of the benefit concerts are all intended to fund several activities and events of all local charities in the area. Meanwhile, old-school English rock band China Crisis is scheduled to perform at the High Street Venue where they will start their own series of shows on October 11.
Young, the former frontman of the band Kat Kool and the Kool Cats, is expected to perform with his own band Los Pacaminos. The 63-year old singer, songwriter, and musician has made it to the top of the charts in America and Europe and won numerous awards including Best British Male in 1985 Brit Awards.
Kiki Dee whose real name is Pauline Matthews will be performing together with Carmelo Luggeri. The English singer who celebrated her 55th year in the industry last year will be singing unique cover songs by artists including Frank Sinatra and Kate Bush. She is also expected to perform her own timeless hits such as “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, “ I Got the Music in Me”, “Amoureuse”, and “Star”.
The English pop/rock band China Crisis which was formed in 1979 is expected to perform their hits including “African and White”, “Christian”, “Tragedy and Mystery”, and “Hanna Hanna”.
China Crisis will be performing on October 11, 2019, while Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggery are set to take the stage on November 2, 2019. Paul Young and Los Pacaminos will be performing next year on January 16, 2020.
