Since the death of Billy Isbister, a 21-year old who was found dead at his home in Quay Road, Newton Abbot last April 8, 2019, his family and friends have been eager to hear what had exactly transpired before his tragic death.

Now, the autopsy results had revealed that the victim had been into financial issues which included a judgment from the County Court. Apart from that, he was also linked to active use of drugs which he had been fighting with.

After his untimely passing, Steve and Alex Isbister, parents of Billy, had encouraged donations to Andy’s Man Club, a Newton Abbot-based mental health group that supports men in the area coming after an increase of suicide rate by the younger generation.

Billy’s was one of the three deaths that happened in just one day, and his parents will never understand why their only child had decided to take away his life.

The mentioned mental health group had been actively making everyone aware of their cause. The owners, Adam Fletcher and Chris Martin, had been appealing for men to never hesitate and visit the club when occasions of anxiety and depression happen.

In a statement made by Chris, he said that three deaths in a small town are unbearable. It had become a reason why they have had countless inquiries recently which offered fundraising events.

A small trace of cocaine was reported from his results which showed that he was using the drug during his death. Dr. Sonya Stewart, her GP, had reported that Billy had visited earlier to deal with his concern regarding drug use and low mood.

Although Billy didn’t live with his parents, he was in constant contact with them. His father confirmed that he was even looking after their dog the day before he was found dead.
