Football Kits worth £1,700 Stolen from Devon Sports Club

A break-in at Bideford Blues and Appledore JFC, housed at the clubhouse in Northam, North Devon, has led to the theft of football equipment priced around £1,700.

Established in 1999 as a Community Charter Standard Club that is run by volunteers, Bideford Blues and Appledore Junior Football Club work to support children. It provides quality coaching and the players learn teamwork through participating and enjoying playing football.

On Facebook, Tereasa Ayres, the club manager says, “We ask if everyone can keep their ears to the ground and if you do hear of anyone selling any footballs or goals please let me know. The police have been informed and there is CCTV of the offenders.”

The Bideford Police have appealed on social media to anyone with information to phone 101 or email [email protected], quoting crime reference CR/095796/18. You can also anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
