Boston Tea Party, a known environment-friendly coffee chain, finally announced that it will open its newest café this November 2019. This will be housed inside the Prezzo restaurant along the corner of Corporation Street and Fore Street in Taunton, Somerset, England.
The restaurant will cater up to 150 customers and will include a secret garden terrace.
This branch will offer a wide selection of ethically-sourced menu. It will highlight its award-winning breakfasts, brunches, lunches, and cakes that are made from home. Its prized meals together with speciality coffees, homemade juices/smoothies, and teas will also be available.
This new café to be located in the town center will stay true to its promise in reducing the consumption of single-use plastics.
This is in connection with its pledge named Making Things Better which the coffee chain started in June 2019. It aims to totally eliminate milk bottles that are made of single-use plastics from all its branches.
In the past, it was recorded that the Boston Tea Party coffee chain has been using roughly 192,000 single-use plastics each year.
This new café in Taunton will continue the said legacy and is expected to save more than 8,000 plastic milk bottles annually. Moreover, last June 2018 it also prohibited single-use coffee cups. If customers need a takeaway, coffee they must use reusable containers.
The company has been strictly observing proper waste management, the use of green energy, and sourcing ethical ingredients.
Sam Roberts which is one of the owners of the Boston Tea Party expressed his excitement on the opening of their new branch in Taunton. The latter will be the third to be located in Somerset.
