Even with summer nearing its end, there are still a lot of activities to experience and enjoy in Falmouth.

One of them is the Falmouth Oyster Festival, a feast which signifies the start of the dredging season of oysters. It is considered to be the biggest and most loved food festival in Cornwall.

The festival, which is organised by Falmouth Festivals Limited, runs from October 10th to October 13th, 2019 where thousands of visitors can feast on fresh oysters, crustaceans, mussels, and different seafoods.

Events Square is hosting again the festival which is celebrating its twenty-three years.

For four days, visitors will get to enjoy a full packed programme including culinary demonstrations administered by leading top chefs and food experts, live music, sea shanties, town parades, and a lot of fun activities not only enjoyable for adults but for kids as well.

One can also participate in the oyster shacking competitions, hot chef challenge, Falmouth Working Boat race, and shell paintings for kids.

Every year, there is a significant increase in the number of food stalls and craft stalls in the festival marquee where visitors of the festival can savour the delectable local produce of Cornwall. One can roam around and enjoy the festive atmosphere while feasting on the delicious Cornish foods and drinks and take home some.

Some of the prominent people in the food industry like Rick Stein, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Clarissa Dickson Wright, Nathan Outlaw, and many more are participating in the event.

Most of the events of the festival does not only offer worth-remembering entertainment to the visitors, but they also raise notable funds which will be donated to the local charity.

If you are a food lover, music lover, or just want to have a good time, then come visit and enjoy the tremendous event of the year.
