Flooring Retail Store Pledge Help to Local Charity in Newton Abbot

Flooring Superstore marks the £100,000 store opening in Newton Abbot with a pledge of support for a local charity. The flooring retailer first started in September at the Kingsteignton Trading Estate, Pottery Road.

The formal opening was lead out by Step One Charity representatives. Step One Charity supports individuals in managing their mental health, achieving their work goals, and living more independently. The charity is in the course of restoring an existing building in Newton Abbot that gives assisted living services to individuals who have mental health issues.

Flooring Superstore pledge to donate the flooring part of the renovation process. Lawrence Rowe, Flooring Superstore manager stated that even before the opening of the store, they have already approached Step One after hearing about the renovation work that needs to be done. They were pleased that the charity has accepted their offer. He further added that the family-run, independent company is devoted to supporting local charities or organizations near the location of the store. They believed that it is important to help back to the community and Step One enables them to do so. They are excited to work hand-in-hand with Step One Charity in helping people with mental health problems in New Abbot.

Step-one Charity Service Manager, Sarah Ellis said that the non-profit charity is delighted to receive donations from companies like Flooring Superstore because aside from improving the existing office, they can use the money on more important issues.

The Flooring Superstore is the 15th store to open in the UK and the first one in Devon. The company has created three new local jobs for the residents of Newton Abbot. The store retails unrivaled array of carpets and flooring types such as luxury vinyl tiles, laminates, and artificial grass, the largest selection in the UK. Lawrence further added that they are pleased to be able to expand and have opened several jobs to the residents of Newton Abbot.
