Revealed: Brand New Plans for ‘Urban, Industrial’ Gloucester Food Dock to House 15 New Restaurants and Bars

The L&R Group has revealed updated plans for the area at Ladybellegate Square next to the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum.

The old plan will be replaced by 15 industrial-style steel units designed specifically for regional, independent food and drink operators.

L&R Group has described the plans as ‘contemporary’, with modular steel units attached to an extension of the existing Grade II listed buildings, giving it an urban, industrial feel with terraces and views over the water.

Interested regional businesses, especially those who specialise in Asian street food, charcoal grilled meats, coffee roasters, bakeries, craft beer and fish and chips, are already in communication with L&R Group and JLL property advisers about securing spaces at the new destination.

L&R operations director Sarah Mansfield and Daniel Milford, senior surveyor for property consultants JLL, said:

“We are bringing together a group of energetic, creative and dedicated regional food businesses. Some will be very new and others more established, but they will be chosen because they complement each other, are dedicated to producing fantastic food and have a sense of theatre,” Sarah said.

“It will bring a whole new offer to the city and exactly the link we’ve long been waiting for between the docks and the city centre.” David added.

Food operators interested in taking space in Gloucester Food Dock should contact Dan Milford in JLL’s South West Retail and Leisure team: [email protected] 0117 930 5715 / 07710 048743
